Tracey is trained in acupuncture to alleviate pain and rapidly advance healing. She adds extra therapeutic effectiveness by also incorporating electro-acupuncture, neuropuncture (application of neuroscience to acupuncture), scalp acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, kinesio-taping, massage and SCENAR therapy where appropriate. You may not have responded well to medical treatments in the past, but these traditional and modern techniques built on the foundations of centuries of ancient Chinese wisdom, could be the combination to make a difference. Tracey’s approach is different from practitioners such as osteopaths and physiotherapists who use needling, in that Chinese Medicine looks for underlying causes and aims to rectify these where possible to either reduce the healing time, possibility of re-injury in the future or sustain good results for longer. Tracey trained with Whitfield Reaves, who has spent over 25 years treating American athletes at all levels, including at the Los Angeles Olympic Games in 1984. She has also studied Western Sports acupuncture, Spinal Acupuncture, Electroacupuncture, Trigger Points needling and Neuropuncture. This allows for an integrated clinical approach incorporating Chinese and Western neurological understanding to both sports and work injuries and injury caused by conditions such as arthritis and other chronic diseases, including autoimmune diseases.
